Many of my students are music teachers themselves. Professional musicians at various stages of their career come to me for training. They want to improve their playing or their teaching and often don’t know who to turn to, until they come here.

Over the years I have helped many pianists become piano teachers by taking them through exams to gain their qualifications, advising them on starting out and mentoring them through the early stages of their teaching career. My students who are teachers or are becoming teachers come to me regularly with their own questions. They use my experience as a base for developing their own teaching styles in a vocation that can feel quite isolated at first.
Helping you take your playing to the next level
Piano teachers often come to have lessons with me because they wish to elevate their playing to a higher level and for their own personal development. Others are looking to teach at a more advanced level. Either way, as all lessons are completely individual, the focus varies from acquiring the highest possible level of technical development to understanding how to better approach repertoire as well as concentrating on developing better practise techniques.
From a teacher’s perspective
There are so many facets to learning the piano and developing as a teacher and you can be sure of my constant guidance and support. In the lessons, we will approach music from a teaching point of view as well as focusing on the nitty-gritty of musical understanding and repertoire from the eyes of a concert pianist.
